Our clear PPF series is manufactured using advanced PCU (Polycaprolactone Polyurethane) technology. This molecular structure provides installers with superior flexibility and offers vehicle owners durable protection against environmental and physical damage.

To minimize waste and simplify installation on complex vehicle geometries, we offer our PPF in two professional widths:
150 cm (59”): The industry standard, ideal for doors, wings, side skirts, and standard bonnets.
180 cm (71”): Engineered specifically for extra-wide panels. This width is highly beneficial for vehicles with expansive bonnets—such as Rolls-Royce or Cadillac models. It allows installers to cover the panel seamlessly without over-stretching the film, reducing stress lines and adhesive distortion.

What is PCU?
At Carrera Shield, we do not rely on standard polyurethane films. Our Paint Protection Film is engineered using next-generation PCU (Polycaprolactone Polyurethane).
Unlike traditional polyester or polyether-based urethanes, PCU is a highly refined polymer compound designed specifically to withstand harsh outdoor exposure, mechanical stress, and chemical contaminants. By utilizing a tighter, more stable molecular structure, PCU delivers superior durability and optical clarity over the lifespan of the film
Key Technical Benefits of PCU Technology
Standard films can degrade and turn yellow when exposed to UV radiation and environmental pollutants. The aliphatic molecular chain in our PCU film is highly stable, resisting UV degradation and maintaining optical transparency even in high-sunlight regions.
Road salt, insect acids, bird droppings, and industrial fallout can etch into standard films. PCU technology creates a dense, non-porous barrier that prevents these harsh contaminants from penetrating the surface, protecting the underlying paint from chemical staining.
The polycaprolactone base gives the film outstanding elastic properties. When the surface receives minor abrasions, swirl marks, or wash marring, the polymer’s "molecular memory" allows it to return to its original, smooth state when exposed to heat (sunlight, warm water, or a heat gun).
Instead of relying solely on a temporary surface coating that washes away over time, our hydrophobic properties are deeply integrated into the top layer of the PCU structure. This ensures long-term water-beading performance, keeping the vehicle cleaner for longer and simplifying maintenance.
